We Shall Meet Them

We shall meet them in the morning,
Meet the saved of other days;
Clasp again the hands of dear ones,
Filled with wonder, love and praise.
Oh to see them in the Glory,
Faces of the distant past!
Oh to meet them in the morning
Safe at home in Heav'n at last!

We shall meet them in the morning,
Friends who long have gone before,
They are waiting for our coming
Where the trials of life are o'er;
Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers,
Children called in tender years;
Wives and husbands, friends and neighbours,
Far beyond this vale of tears.

We shall meet them in the morning,
In the Land of fadeless day,
Where there are no separations,
Where all tears are wiped away.
We shall meet them, but the glory
Of that meeting will be this;
That a Saviour waits to welcome
Waits to share with us His bliss.
